   The View From Here

We’ve provided the charts for the worship songs from The View From Here to make the songs more readily available to anyone who might want to use them.

Compelled

Written for a 2005 national convention, this is a simple song of commitment based on 2 Corinthians 5:13-15 – that the love of Jesus, and His sacrifice, compels us to press onward.

The Lord Reigns

A praise song with an international feel, calling us to worship our amazing God.

You Are Lord

Celtic-inspired celebration of God, who created all yet loves each of us so dearly.

Lament

A song of confession, realizing that letting the stuff of life shield us from true remorse will also shield us from the change we so desire.

Imagine

Written for the 2007 Church Planting Canada convention, a call to look beyond the everyday and dream God-sized dreams. A bilingual version of the second verse is available – contact us.

For His Praise

A pairing of the message of the gospel in John 3:16 with a celebration of the freedom that God offers each of us, and a reminder that ultimately we can live for His glory.

This song was written in 2007. As I prepared for Christmas I’d been thinking of the fact that after the prophets had promised again and again, and in so many ways, that the promised Saviour was coming, there was a gap of about 400 years before the Gospels were written.

Four hundred years of silence before “He’s coming!” is succeeded by “He’s here!”

The event we celebrate at Christmas is the answer that breaks the silence; God’s Word of love to us was born in a barn. God with us – Emmanuel.
